According to the latest CECAFE figures, projected green coffee shipments for the month of May 2024 stand at 4,302,829 bags. Assuming this materializes, the accumulated figures for the calendar year 2024 will be around 20.4 million bags (or an average of 4.08 million bags per month).
If we extrapolate these numbers for the entire year, we could be looking at over 48 million bags of green coffee alone being exported. Although it is hard to believe that the current trend will continue during the second half of the year, it certainly looks like we are going for a new exporting record for the country.
